“Women’s
Forum” is currently working on a USAID funded project, carried
out by the World Learning “Armenian NGO Strengthening Program”.
The program is called “Sexual Assault at a Workplace in Republic
of Armenia”.
The Goal
and Purpose of the program is to develop
a strict Work Code guidelines which will protect women from any
sexual harassment imposed on them at the work place.
Following steps were
taken to implement the program.
• A booklet
and leaflets was published and distributed to 5 regions of Republic
of Armenia.
• Organized
lectures, seminars in Yerevan, Shirak, Aragatsotn, Kotayk, Loury.
• Developed
a sociological questionnaire.
• Organized meetings with leaders of states and private enterprises.
• Met with
representatives of Funds.
• Conducted
round tables with the employed and unemployed women.
• Published
numerous articles in the regional and central newspapers in Armenia.
• Public
awareness via medi with the theme of “Sexual Assault”
(Channels “Yerevan”, “Prometevs”, “
Kentron”).
• Broadcasted a program on “Kentron” channel on
the topic of “We speak loud about sexual assault”.
• Met with the deputies of the National Community.
• Met with the State register and discussion the draft of
the law with Mr. T. Mukucyhyan.
• Met with
Mr. Hovhanes Margarian (The Chairman of the State Legislative Committee).
• Met with
T. Mukucyhyan (Deputy Minister of Justice)
• Presented the Work Code to the National Committee
